A Fun and Dynamic Learning Experience
About Us
The illustrious and colorful D. Parke Gibson Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) produces future leaders in the public relations industry.
The PRSSA D. Parke Gibson Chapter--the first Historically Black College or University chapter within PRSSA--was founded in 1985 by Debra Miller. Our organization is a pre-professional, student-run organization, with over 200 across the nation. We are named after D. Parke Gibson, a pioneer in multicultural public relations as well as founder of the first black-owned PR firm, D. Parke Gibson International, in New York in 1960.
We are located within the Cathy Hughes School of Communications (CHSOC) at Howard University.
